Poems vs. Songs

Author's comparison of poems and songs.

I may be right or I may be wrongBut, when you hear a singer singing a songIt is his or her voice that carries a messageWith music providing an easier passageTo a space behind the eardrumsResulting often in a rhythmical shakingOf hips and boobs and flailing of arms

I may be wrong or I may be rightWhen you read a good poem it brings you delightThe rhyming of words makes poem tickYour imagination does the trickThe poem's message illuminates the mindTranslating human language into language divine

When I'm writing my poetry, whether poem or songThe former always comes right and the latter - wrong.
